Allen - Farnham

The clients had been planning an extension with the kitchen at the heart of this open plan space. They liked the Stone Oak ‘raised woodgrain’ laminate veneer as an accent door that would complement their flooring choice and the Bondi Merino colour with a very subtle grey tint to it gave a light but defining tone to the kitchen furniture.
They used the accent door on the island units as well as the wall units giving a pleasant contrast for the Silestone Blanco Orion worktop which drops down to the floor on the side where you enter the room showing off the intricate veining in the stone and then hangs over the other side of the island to give a breakfast bar space.

The wall units were set at an interesting height initially to work around the lintel, but we made the proportions and the height right for the space.

The worktop on the sink side is the Iconic White by Silestone and the splashback glass gives the room an added dimension.

Clients wanted to have a separate integrated freezer below the combi-microwave at the slightly larger 102cm height, so we made all the doors on the appliance housings a bespoke height to allow the top oven on the left side to match the same height as the combi-microwave (housed above the freezer) giving them the look they would expect from Leicht kitchens.

All ovens, the fridge and freezer and full surface induction hob are from Siemens. They have two integrated dishwashers from Bosch and a Quooker tap. The ceiling extractor is from Westin, this was chosen for its ability to work within the parameters of the site (ceiling joists etc) - the Stratus Compact was chosen which suits these requirements and is also a very effective extractor.
